Last Photos of the South Texas Valley

We are leaving Rio Hondo and heading to Corpus Christi. We plan to stay at Mustang Island State Park for a week or so, then travel farther up the coast to Galveston.


The South Padre Island Kite Fest which we attended for the second year.


Donnie and I visited the South Padre Island Birding and Nature Center near the Convention Center (brightly colored buildings in the background). The center has boardwalks that take you right to the edge of Laguna Madre.

Our neighbors at the RV Park in Rio Hondo. Originally from Florida, Charlie and Carlee were traveling with the circus that was setting up in McAllen. They were a very entertaining and interesting couple.
